Our origin story

Sibylla emerged from a fundamental challenge in financial markets: the persistent noise that obscures meaningful signals. Our founders saw an opportunity to apply scientific method where human intuition fails.

2022

Initiation by Prof. Alex Bronstein, PhD, of a research project at Israel’s Technion to build a signal generation engine to assemble portfolios of equities based on quantitative and systematic algorithms

2023

Sibylla’s experiments produce first robust results across cycles, showing scalability of technology. Transition into a commercial venture

2024

Growth of the team. Khan Baykaner appointed CTO. Sibylla begins virtual trading.

2025

Sibylla builds investment team to deploy signals and works towards investment management authorisation

2026

Sibylla sets up first investment vehicle - a US large cap long/short market neutral fund
