Apostolos brings over 25 years of investment experience across traditional and alternative asset classes, with deep expertise in systematic macro and quantitative investment strategies. Prior to joining Sibylla, he served as Acting Co-Chief Investment Officer and Management Committee member at PGIM Wadhwani, a London-based systematic macro hedge fund, where he oversaw the investment team responsible for model development and portfolio construction across more than 150 markets globally. Earlier in his career, he was Partner and Chief Investment Officer of CdR Capital, where he oversaw the firm’s systematic macro investment strategy and led the investment team responsible for strategic and tactical asset allocation for both discretionary and advisory mandates. Apostolos has also held senior roles at Albourne Partners and Caliburn Capital Partners, leading risk and quantitative research teams and advising institutional clients on portfolio optimisation, risk modelling and mitigation, asset allocation and fee structures. 

Apostolos began his career as a lecturer in Finance at Bayes Business School and The University of Reading and has authored multiple research papers on bubbles, risk and asset allocation methodologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the ICMA Centre, University of Reading, where he also earned an MSc in Finance with Distinction, as well as an MSc and BSc in International Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business.
