Damon has over thirty years of experience building, scaling, and exiting technology-driven businesses across artificial intelligence, SaaS, and fintech. He began his career in software engineering and IT leadership roles at major UK enterprises, including AXA, and Windsor Life, before joining Venda Ltd in 2006 as Group Chief Operating Officer. Under his guidance Venda grew into the UK’s largest SaaS cloud‑commerce platform, processing over $1 billion in transactions and was acquired by NetSuite (Oracle) in 2014. As Group CTO at TPRG, a £300 million, 4,000‑employee group, he reshaped the technology function, delivering rapid innovation, PCI‑DSS security, DPA compliance, and flawless uptime.
In 2018 Damon co‑founded Fabula AI, a deep‑learning venture that detects fake news with best‑in‑class accuracy (93 %) in milliseconds, across any language - leading to its acquisition by Twitter within a year. In 2019 he co‑founded Sibylla AI, acting as COO, steering technology to scale its unique AI with reliability and rigour. Damon also advises Cinemersive Labs (AI computer‑vision) and has guided several AI firms, notably Ariel AI (exit to Snap) and Contex (exit to Epic). He is recognised for entrepreneurial leadership in AI, emphasizing talent, innovation, scalable growth and methodical rigour.
