Khan brings over fifteen years of experience at the intersection of machine learning, signal processing, and large-scale software engineering. He completed a Ph.D. in Psychoacoustics at the University of Surrey in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen engineers, focusing on computational models predicting listener behaviour under auditory interference, and subsequently held research positions at University College London. Khan later joined Nokia, where he led early-stage machine-learning initiatives, and subsequently served as Lead Software Engineer at Fetch.AI, developing blockchain-integrated AI systems.
From 2020 to 2022, Khan led machine-learning teams at AstraZeneca, delivering scalable deep-learning pipelines for biomarker and biomedical imaging analysis. He joined Sibylla AI in 2022 as Chief Technology Officer, where he is responsible for the firm’s technical vision, architecture, and execution of its AI-driven trading systems. Across academia and industry, Khan has authored over 30 patents and peer-reviewed papers, and is recognised for translating cutting-edge AI research into production-grade systems that address complex real-world problems.
